Few countries have surprised me as much as Colombi

Few countries have surprised me as much as Colombia. 🇨🇴

From endless canyons and wild landscapes to old towns and buzzing cities. From tapirs hidden in the forest to hummingbirds flashing every color imaginable. And above all, the warmth and openness of the people you meet along the way.

I’ve probably traveled through few countries as intensely as this one, and somehow Colombia still feels like there’s always another place to discover, another story to hear and another reason to come back.

And I definitely will. ❤️

We had the chance to spend an afternoon with this traditional music teacher and be inspired by his unique way of working. 🫶

I’ve traveled to many countries and experienced so

I’ve traveled to many countries and experienced some pretty incredible adventures along the way. But crossing South Africa and Namibia by a luxury train from the 1920s was something else entirely. 🤯😮‍💨🤤

Wild, unexpected, sometimes a little crazy… and without a doubt one of the most spectacular and unusual adventures I’ve ever been on.

Thousands of kilometers, endless landscapes, countless moments along the way… and an experience I know I’ll never forget. 🫶

There are journeys you take and then there are journeys that stay with you. This was definitely one of them. ❤️

Pura Vida – Wildlife Edition 🇨🇷🐒🌿

Just one week of photographing wildlife and it felt like there was something new to discover around every corner. Monkeys jumping through the trees, colorful birds everywhere, sloths doing what sloths do best (basically nothing 😂), reptiles, frogs and so many other species I’d never seen in the wild before. Awesome 🤩

Costa Rica may be a small country, but it’s home to around 5% of the world’s known biodiversity and once you’re out there with a camera, you really start to understand what that means.

I had the chance to lead a photography trip there, and seeing my group get just as excited about every new encounter made the whole experience even better. Cameras ready, eyes constantly scanning the trees… and way too many photos by the end of each day. 😂📸

One thing is for sure: this definitely wasn’t my last time in Costa Rica.
Pura Vida really hits different when there’s a monkey staring back at you. 🐒

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a sunrise by the ocean. But having the beach, the waves AND massive mountains right behind you? 🤤🤤
That’s pretty hard to beat.
Cape Town really knows how to combine the best of both worlds. 🌊⛰️❤️

It’s this time of the year again… almost 😅🫠

Still one of my favorite series I’ve ever shot in New York. And crazy to think these photos were taken almost 10 years ago.

I remember being completely soaked, literally down to my underwear, walking through the city in the pouring rain with my camera. But looking at these shots today, I’d say it was absolutely worth it.

And btw, cameras weren’t quite as weather-sealed back then as they are today. 😂

I’m a photographer. I’ve always seen myself much more as a photographer than a content creator, and definitely not as a filmmaker.

And yet, over the years, I’ve had the chance to work on some pretty amazing film projects as well. This was one of them.

A few years ago, my friend @formgestalter and I were commissioned by Karwendel Tourism to capture an entire year through both photography and film. Four seasons, four completely different moods, and one beautiful region changing with every few months.

Today, I was outside and for the first time it really felt like summer was slowly coming to an end. I actually wanted to post our autumn film already… but technically, it’s still summer. So this one gets one last moment. ☀️

A little goodbye to summer.

And in a few days, I’ll take you into autumn. 🍂
