I can still feel the heat. Hear the explosions. Feel the ground shaking beneath my feet.😮‍💨

For days, I stood at the edge of an active volcano somewhere in the middle of the South Pacific back in 2019. Every 15 minutes, the earth seemed to explode in front of me. Lava shooting into the night sky, glowing rocks flying through the air, and nothing between me and the crater. Just a camera in my hands and one of the wildest forces of nature I’ve ever witnessed.

I’ve never shared these images before. I honestly don’t even know why. But looking at them today, I realized something: I might travel the world for the rest of my life and never experience anything quite like this again. 🌋🔥🤯

To the sound, the feeling, the atmosphere. The magic of being there.

And suddenly, all you want is to go back. 🇮🇸😮‍💨

Apparently, I’m a content creator… but all I wanna do is take photos. 😩📸

This weekend made me realize again how little time I actually spend doing the thing I love most: going outside and taking photos.

Being self-employed in the creative industry means doing everything. Accounting, emails, office work, finding new clients, planning projects, creating video content, editing reels, social media… and somewhere in between all of that, you’re supposed to find the time to actually be creative.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s all part of the job. But sometimes I really miss the simplicity of just grabbing my camera, heading outside and taking photos.

Because at the end of the day, that’s still what I love most. ❤️📸

Diesen Moment werde ich nie mehr vergessen. 🤯

Es war mein allererster Abend auf Safari. Wir wollten eigentlich nur noch einmal kurz rausfahren und hatten direkt unfassbares Glück: Vor uns lag ein Leopard, der gerade seine Beute fraß.

Schon einen Leoparden überhaupt zu entdecken, ist alles andere als selbstverständlich. Ihn dann auch noch bei einer solchen Szene beobachten und im schönsten Abendlicht fotografieren zu können, war einfach völlig surreal. Ich war so nah dran, dass ich sogar das Knacken der Knochen hören konnte.

Genau solche Begegnungen machen eine Safari für mich so besonders. Man weiß nie, was passiert. Und manchmal erlebt man innerhalb weniger Minuten einen Moment, den man für den Rest seines Lebens nicht mehr vergisst. 😍

Im April 2027 nehme ich sechs Teilnehmer mit auf eine außergewöhnliche Fotoexpedition durch Südafrika, Simbabwe und Mosambik.

Im April 2027 geht es für 11 Tage auf eine außergewöhnliche Fotoexpedition durch Südafrika, Simbabwe und Mosambik.🙌
Mit nur sechs Teilnehmern, abseits der klassischen Safari-Routen und mitten hinein in einige der spannendsten Wildlife-Gebiete im südlichen Afrika. 🤩

Das wird keine klassische Safari, sondern ein intensives Abenteuer voller außergewöhnlicher Tierbegegnungen, großartiger Fotomotive und Erlebnisse, die wir vermutlich nie wieder vergessen werden.

Yesterday was the solar eclipse and I can totally understand everyone who’s still hyped about their photos and how they turned out. I know that feeling when you’ve been waiting for a moment like this, everything comes together and you’re just super excited about the result. So congrats to everyone who got the shots they were hoping for! 🙏🏻🤩

I’m not posting a photo from yesterday, but instead one of the blood moon I photographed in Nuremberg a few years ago. Back then, I was definitely just as excited about capturing it. 😍🙌

Yesterday though? I was at @rewe during the eclipse 😂😅This time, I simply didn’t care at all.
